Dallas On Set

Writer/filmmaker and founder of D.A Media, Dallas Alexis was born in Brooklyn New York. Dallas has worked on both sides of the business TV/Film and the music industry for the past 10 years. He started out writing music video treatments for popular R&B and Rap artist. Transitioning into the TV/Film business, over a period of over 10 years Dallas has worked with and collaborated with several companies on creative content, such as MTV, VH-1, NBC, HBO, BRAVO and TLC to name a few. With a knack for storytelling Dallas started to write and cultivate short stories and scripts. Dallas has also written and directed his own short films/feature films. “Four Years” being the first, “The Sweetest Rejection”, “Gotta Get Mine” (feature film) and ”What Goes Around” to follow.

Dallas has also collaborated on the films “Unfamiliar Paintings” and “Repercussions” with May Day Film works, where he served as writer and director. All films are currently making their way through the film festival circuit. “Four Years” and “Unfamiliar Paintings” have won awards for best film in their respective film festivals. Dallas has also teamed up with several New York City agencies and non-profit agencies to create ad campaigns for Stop & Frisk, Anti-Bullying and AIDS/HIV awareness. He is also using his film “Repercussions” as a teaching tool across the country to expose and bring to light the HIV/AIDS epidemic in our communities. Dallas has also started a Filmmaking and Screenwriting workshop entitled “Write…Produce…Edit…& Share…”, which focuses on teaching and exposing students to the art form of filmmaking and screenwriting.
